Excerpt:
He ran his fingers through his dark hair, releasing a deep sigh. He didn’t know. He wasn’t sure of anything anymore. The only thing he was sure of was that he did not want to let Gwen go. Divine intervention, destiny, or coincidence, she had brought something back into his life that he’d been missing for a very long time. She’d brought light and warmth into his cold darkness.
Gwen came walking out of the bathroom, pausing in the doorway when she saw David sitting on the couch, staring at the fire with two glasses of red wine in front of him. As she stared at him, she felt the familiar sensation of desire rekindling in her stomach. She had fallen for him. There was no use trying to deny it. He was very handsome, creative, and successful but what had captured her the most was his eyes. There seemed to be a different person beneath his cool, calm exterior. Perhaps that person was looking for magic, just like her.
“I thought maybe some wine . . .” David looked up at her and the words died in his throat. How could a woman look so damn sexy wearing his old pajamas? He felt his mouth go dry. Full breasts, a slender waist, and curvy hips. His loose pajamas clung to her in all the right places. All he could think was how much he wanted to run his hands under those clothes and across what he knew would be soft, warm flesh.
