Gwen was looking forward to her first vacation in years. There was only one thing she had to do before she would be on the beach sipping delicious Tequila Sunrises and that was drive up to a remote cabin in Colorado in order to pick up a manuscript for her boss from the elusive David Masters.

David wasn’t much for company but from the moment beautiful Gwen became stranded at his house he thought maybe fate was at work here.

He knew being snowed in with him was not her idea of a vacation but he would change her mind but could he convince her after the storm lifts that fate had drawn them together?

Review:

I found this to be an entertaining story. The characters were developed well enough to give me a sense of who they were, while leaving enough room for me to form my own picture. Ms. Gonzales writes in a pleasing manner, creating a sense of passion and romance without being crude.  I found two grammatical errors that caused the flow of the story to be broken, but was able to quickly get back into the action. All in all, this was a very pleasant read.

Gwen was asked by her boss to retrieve a manuscript written by one of the best selling authors at the time. Deciding to take her vacation to Hawaii right after getting the manuscript, she heads up to the Colorado Rockies to find herself in a small snowstorm. Reaching the house of David Masters, the author, she realizes, this is not just a simple small snow storm but an all out blizzard. When Gwen meets David, she realizes that her heart is in danger. Can they make it through the snowstorm with their hearts in tact?

Valentine Magic was an breathtaking book. I relationship between Gwen and David was extraordinary, I actually felt like I was living the relationship with them. Gwen was a woman who had been through tremendous heartbreak and was not ready to give her heart to anyone. David was a man who thrived on solitude in order to keep himself from being hurt. The chemistry between Gwen and David was electrifying and I was hooked in the first chapter. The plot and characters were remarkably believable and that being said, please, please, please do a sequel to this book!

M.A. Gonzales is an incredible writer who has a talent of drawing the reader into the story rapidly while engaging them with humor and sexual tension. I have never read any of this writer's work, but based on this book alone, I would automatically add any work from M.A. Gonzales to my to be read list. I was very intrigued by the writing style and I highly recommend this book to any lover of romance.

Maria Ramos has run away to Italy to find comfort with her grandmother and sister. Her husband never loved her, just used her to make partner and then found someone else. She never wanted to be a lawyer, but sought acceptance from others by becoming what they wanted. Not any more.

Gabriel does not believe in the all consuming love that others tell him exists, that is until he sees his childhood friend Maria again. The vineyard owner thought that he had it all, now he needs one more thing, Maria.

Italy was always a place where she felt loved and that she belonged, obviously her sister felt the same way. The love story between Gabriel and Maria is a bit rocky, Maria is pretty damaged by life and Gabriel takes his time, giving the reader some pretty hot love scenes.

I really enjoyed this romantic tale, perfect for the season. Maria really feels unlovable thanks to her mother and her ex. The other characters are really well done and essential in the story, particularly Maria’s bossy and selfish mother. There is mention of the father, but he never appears in the story. I like how Maria overcomes her past insecurities to take another chance with Gabriel and I loved how Gabriel took the time to help her. The setting in Italy is beautifully described; it will make you want to go there yourself.

Vampire

Ana Morena’s mother always told her that she was special, but also in danger. It turned out that Ana’s mother was crazy... or so everyone thought. Strange things have just started occurring in Ana’s otherwise normal life. Things beyond her wildest imagination that make her realize that she is not who she always thought she was.

Vincent is a vampyer. Hot and sexy, yes, but a vampyer. He has a very complicated history, which includes being an ancient vampyer and losing his soul mate to his wicked sister.

Under the tutelage of Vincent and her fellow vampyer hunters, Paul and Maria, Ana works on fulfilling the prophecy that claims her as the chosen one who will defeat Lucinea, the evil mother of all vampyers. Unfortunately, the battle will not be without extreme sacrifices.

M.A. Gonzales’ vampire tale is extraordinarily entertaining. The chemistry between the two lovers flows beautifully, and their love scenes are incredibly erotic. The dialogue between the characters is smart and sassy throughout the book. The Hunter contains all the fabulous classic characteristics of a vampire novel, but goes above and beyond to create an extremely interesting and original story. In particular, Ms. Gonzales’ take on the origin of vampires is innovative and breathtaking. If you are a fan of vampires, you do not want to miss this one.

Ana has recurring nightmares in fact they are night terrors, but once
she wakes she cannot remember anything about the dreams.   One of her
co-workers arrives at her door in the middle of the night asking for help
and a place to stay.  Vampires the woman claimed had bitten her.   Ana
didn't believe Maria but she was willing to help.  Ana suddenly starts
remembering her dreams. When Ana is attacked Maria's husband Paul rescues
her, and then  they explain that they are vampire hunters and that they
believe she is the one chosen to rescue the world from an evil vampire
Queen that has enough power to enslave the world.  Ana doesn't believe, but
the fact remains that the vampires are trying to kill her, she has no
choice, she has to fight.   Ana's adventure begins.  She is rescued by a
handsome vampire that she is attracted to, but he shoves her away when she
kissed him. He has a old love, that was murdered by his sister and he
doesn't  want to betray his love.

This was a wonderful way to pass the afternoon.  I started this book and
was truly amazed at how well the story flowed.  It was as though it flowed
from the author pen onto paper without a single hesitation or moment of
writer's block.  The storyline was interesting, the main characters are
believable, and developed well.  The sex scenes are hot and the romance
tender.  If you enjoy erotic vampire tales, you will enjoy The Hunter by
M,A. Gonzales.
